fmw: oh good GRIEF! i know dried beans - generally speaking - are a pain in the tuckus, but honestly! this was ridiculous! i cooked the heck out of these heirloom beans for 2.5 hours at a rolling simmer and another 16 hrs on low in the crockpot. fiiinally soft. taste kinda like chestnuts, actually!Thursday, December 24, 2009
