fmw: ayayay! spent the whole day - quite literally - sitting here, cross-legged, with watermelon and peanut butter + dried apricot breaks; reading, typing, yawning and plucking quarter notes on the guitar.

whipped up supper (ratatouille, tzatziki + hummus + curried pita wedges (pitas - not homemade), tabouleh, watermelon + feta + mint salad and vino) for the fam. and with wide smiles, we shared three "bouchons" - the best chocolate dessert on earth, from NYC - frozen, up until now, for safe keeping.

fmw: hopped on the yawn-crack-of-dawn bus. sipped a morning coffee at a quiet cafe. smuggled in 1/2 sourdough muffin + 1/2 chocolate zucchini "muffin" (cake, really) and munched while reading wonderful thesis/food writing from friends and a HAN recommendation.

fmw: in the passenger seat with a block of quince fruit leather (from backyard in Magdalena), pickled chiltepins and the best tamales i've ever tried. in short, utterly good.
