fmw: a full-brim day - the first in ages and ages!
(brace yourself! self-satisfying documentation of Awesome Thursday for future reminiscence! forgive the word-purge! tomorrow's shorter "titles" and fewer photos will recommence. :D thanks for obligin'. just wanna remember today as being particularly good.)
after driving to patagonia (!) to see summer work friends (!) and greet new rockin' ladies at a teeny retreat, i snuck next door to peek at Brian's hilarious, very-campy-and-awesome trailer that he's staying in for two nights. check out that bumpdybump counter-top!

then, nibbled spinach and feta croissants, prickly pear pads (not slimy!) and wheat rolls made with the first arizona wheat (!), nearly extinct but being grown-out again and renewed. picked up a beautiful bag of granola (with millet and sunflower seeds to boot) and a blackberry muffin for future breakfast from the cafe owners before zooming a mile up the road...
...the night closed with fried apple dumplings and the most delicious soup i've ever tried, a la Canela (love-love!). second truly lovely restaurant experience of my whole life. and the entire time, rich convos - so thoughtful - and smiles abound.
and after a long drive home (so pleasant, save the obligatory border patrol flashlight-in-the-face), i quietly shut the door, tip-toed into my room and turned on the light:
graduation smiles came early!
just a really good day ... without too much thinking (just living!).
love, fmw
