fmw: before a pleasantly busy day, took a few moments to hang out with the pooch and check up on the plants in the COOOOOL (pre-steaming) morning air.

fmw: mille yalping next to her little blanket (my crocheted "swatch") while squash roasted in the oven. omg, AH-MAZING (you've got to make it!) roasted squash salad and some date + walnut muffins, slightly tweaked.

on another note, last night I went to the Laramie Project: 10 Years Later and it was extraordinary - not just in terms of the quality of the performance (phenomenal) - but extraordinary to be watching something that people all over the U.S. and world were watching at precisely the same moment. last night, theatre opened up to a public stage - what a way to create nation- and world-wide dialog!

fmw: roasted corn, plain with squeezed lime - heaven - best ever;
afternoon at the annual "Meet Yourself" (rechristened "Eat Yourself" by locals). celebrates Arizona's folk and ethnic communities through good food, traditional art, song, dance.
